AH,,, I just love that smell....

It's that new car smell. Why can't they bottle this stuff. We broke down and finally got a new van. Technically, the old van finally told us it had enough of the "It's only $200" thinking. We are now leasing a new VW Routan. It is the brand new van from VW. In fact, I've never seen another one like it on the road yet. So, either, we just leased a big loser, or we're starting a new fad. Yes, my brother in law and sister in law just got an AWESOME deal on their new van, but I'm wondering if it comes with the new car smell. I think I'll try to bottle it just for them.

It's only taken 9 years

Was I really complaining on Saturday about how nothing exciting happens in our life? Well, I'm finally in the end stages of my battle with the poison ivy I have had for 2 weeks. I think it's just about gone. Yippie!
Yesterday, Fletcher was trying to playing Tarzan, I think, and decided to jump out of the tree in our front yard. Well, he didn't land quite right and we ended up in the ER. Yep, he broke his left arm. No activities for 1 week. Then back to the Dr. The Dark Blue Cast will be on until around Halloween. Why did I emphasize Dark Blue Cast? Well, it was quite a discussion in the ER last night. What color cast to get in the morning because what color sharpie shows up best on a cast? So, we decided to pick Dark Blue. Just in case you want to know, it is the same color as the Colts and black sharpie shows up wonderfully on it. (Just in case anyone needs this for a future endeavor)

So, I'm doing complaining that we don't have anything going on in our lives. Like Pastor Sattler says, "You need to stop making Sour Grapes." So, I say, "Bring on the wine!!!!!"

Same o'same o'

So, I don't really have to much to blog about right now, except for the fact that I feel guilty for not blogging in awhile. Do I think my family and our day to day life is so boring that I have nothing to blog about? Yep. We're busy. It feels as though we are always on the go. It seems that once the Big 3 are picked up from school we are on the go until bedtime. We have gymnastics, at least the 3 girls go at the same time. We have baseball where Dad is coaching the big 3. That's one night a week of practice and 2 games on Sunday. We have tutoring 2 days a week. We're seeing great progress and hopefully will be done SOON! We are so proud of how hard he's working. We have Midweek School. I am always so thankful for Fridays. NO HOMEWORK!!! FAMILY TIME! I remember being this busy when I was 7. I can understand Fletch being a little busier. He is 9, but I just want my kids to be kids.

Yesterday, though, we did get a special treat. We got a private tour, with another family friend, of the new Lucas Oil Stadium. It's the 70,000 seat facility where the Colts play. We got to go into the locker rooms, see the press boxes, and run around like crazy on the field. What a memory and an experience. Here's a typical sotry of my son and my girls. We get on the field and Fletch starts diving and sliding into the end zone and running to the 50 yard line and back. Hannah, Mariah, andPaige run to the Colts Helmet on the 50 yard line and start doing cartwheels. Are they practicing to be a Colt Cheerleader later in life? Please help me have patience and understanding if that's what they decide. Hopefully, I can post pictures of it soon.

WOW! What a Summer!

So, it's been over a month since my last blog. Kinda reminds me of when I was little and would try and keep a diary. I would be so excited to write in it on the 1st day and then it would be a long time until I wrote again.
So, since my last blog, we have been busy. I ran a week long VBS for over 325 kids and then had 3 kids with birthdays that weekend. We then got ready and packed for our vacay. We headed first to the North, eh, to Canada and the great Niagara Falls. We saw some really neat things up there, got to drive 110 (kmh) that is, and rode on the Maid of the Mist. We then left Canada, eh, and headed to Cooperstown. We got to watch some little leaguers playing ball at the Dream Park there and saw 2 Grand Slam homeruns. We went to the Baseball Hall of Fame and saw some neat things. We did in 1 day what would take my brother about 3 days to see. Sorry, Scott, they just aren't quite there yet.
After NY we headed to NJ and got to spend time with the fam. I finally got to see my new nieces and nephew. What cuties. The twin nieces now have the nickname of NT (New Twins) given to them by my twins the OTs. Doug, my nephew, was just as happy as could be. It was so much fun for the cousins to all hang out together, all though we did miss the Kondroski cousins TERRIBLY! We already have our trip planned for next year when we want to hit the Edison museum, the Empire State Building, and the Randolph parade. We even got to visit the Hospital while there since Pappy was a little under the weather. We're just thankful he's doing better.
After NJ, we then headed to CT to see my oldest and dearest friend, Kathy and her hubby John, and their 3 sons, Jack, Sean, and Ryan. It was great to catch up on old times and always weird that we have kids that play together now. We were able to watch the New Britain Rock Cats and 4 of the kids got called out to play Musical Chairs in between innings. (It always pays to know the man in charge.)
We were home for about a week, well most of us that is. Matt went to Vegas with college friends for a long weekend. Then, we all headed to Lake Cumberland KY with our cruise friends from OH. We rented a pontoon boat, went tubing, and rented a jet ski. I had never been on a jet ski before, but it was amazing. I think I had more fun on that then the kids.
So, before we left we had the oil change and it's going in again this week since it now has over 3,000 miles on it. The van lasted the whole time which is always a good thing, and what a way to spend the summer.
I Love seeing family and friends!

My first blog

So, I have nothing else to do except wrap Father's Day gifts and plan for over 300 kids to attend our Vacation Bible School I don't know why I'm even wrapping the Father's Day gift, since Paige already spilled the beans. Oh well that's what almost 4 year olds do.
We had a great day at the softball field. The twins only had 9 players there and played the best game ever. They lost by 1 run and are still in the tournament. They play again on Monday and if they win they play Tuesday, and then again on Wednesday. It's double elimination so we can only hope for more wins. Fletcher's team lost in the double elimination tournament in his first 2 games.

So, we will see how this goes and how often I can keep up on this. I hope to be able to put some pictures and all on here soon.

Later Tater!
